Fulham boss Lawrie Sanchez was full of praise for South China's efforts during the Asia Trophy tournament in Hong Kong. The Cottagers clinched third place on Friday after comfortably seeing off Hong Kong FA Cup holders South China 4-1 but Sanchez hailed their resilient opponents.
Flavio Barros Souza followed up skipper Li Haiqiang's sparkling free-kick in the 3-1 loss to Liverpool with a fine volley.
"I thought they scored two excellent goals," said Sanchez.
"They scored the two best goals in the tournament and although we were asleep for their goal, it was a fantastic delivery and a very good finish.
"Obviously the one against Liverpool on Tuesday night was excellent as well so they may have come fourth but they have scored the two best goals."
