LIVERPOOL (AFP) - Israel captain Yossi Benayoun is to undergo a scan on an adductor injury which could keep him out of his country's Euro 2008 qualifier against Russia next week. The winger will consult doctors on Sunday over whether he can take part in a match which could seal England's fate of not reaching the Euro 2008 finals. Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez said: "Yossi has picked up an injury (against Fulham) and it is very, very doubtful that he will join up with his country." If Israel lose to Russia in Tel-Aviv on Saturday England would miss out on a major tournament for the first time since the 1994 World Cup.
