A pair of Bundesliga clubs are reported to have developed a keen interest in unsettled Juventus midfielder Sergio Bernardo Almiron.
Hamburger SV and VfL Wolfsburg have been identified as potential suitors by the German press, though neither club has officially confirmed an interest in Almiron.
The 27-year-old has been largely a peripheral figure since his €9m move from Empoli in the summer and at the moment is firmly behind Cristiano Zanetti and Antonio Nocerino in the central midfield pecking order.
Barring a dramatic improvement in his form or a midfield injury crisis, Juventus are reported to be willing to let Almiron leave on loan once the transfer window reopens in January with the view of making his departure permanent.
The Bundesliga sides would likely have to beat off stiff competition should Almiron indeed be available for transfer come January, with London clubs West Ham and Tottenham also known to be admirers of the stylish midfielder.
Almiron, who has never played for his country, is the son of Sergio Almiron Sr, a former international striker who won the World Cup in 1986 wearing the number one shirt.
