Villa boss O'Neill to bid for Hearts keeper Gordon

Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill is considering a move for Hearts goalkeeper Craig Gordon. O'Neill is aware it will take £8 million to take the Scotland No1 south, but won't flinch as he has the backing of Villa chairman Randy Lerner.
Villa No1 Thomas Sorensen has broke down with a hamstring injury this week, making O'Neill's need to find a new shot-stopper even more acute.
