Griffen Moves From Portsmouth To Derby Andy Griffen has joined Premiership newboys Derby County from Portsmouth for an undisclosed fee.
Griffen becomes Derby's seventh summer signing after he was deemed surplus to requirement by Harry Redknapp at Fratton Park following a summer of intense transfer activity.
The 28-year-old, who can play at both right and left back positions spent much of his career at Newcastle before moving to Portsmouth in 2004. He spent a spell on loan with his first club Stoke City last season.
Griffen, who has signed a three-year deal at Pride Park, follows the likes of Claude Davis and Robert Earnshaw in making moves to Derby County.
