RE: River or Boca Juniors

Well, This shouldnt even be a question Kah26. Boca Juniors has more international cups than any other team in the world. River has 4 I think. Boca is the most internationally known has played against the best ex: Milan, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Celtic, Man U, Santos need I say more?

Bergessio ~ Released

Man Utd : "Liverpool Can Have Heinze For £6m"

Man Utd : "Liverpool Can Have Heinze For £6m".
Man Utd Say Liverpool Can Have Heinze For £6m Argentina's Copa America finalist Gabriel Heinze will be allowed toeave Manchester United for Liverpool this summer - provided the Merseysiders meet United's asking price of £6 million.

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson told Sky Sports earlier this week: "Gaby's agent has advised us that he wants to move on.

“I am not too sure about that and we do not have a concrete offer from any particular club. But there is some momentum regarding the player's next move in terms of through his agent, even if nothing is close at this moment in time.”

Liverpool have expressed a definite interest, although manager Rafael Benitez, aware that no player has moved directly between the bitter rivals since 1964, when Phil Chisnall left Old Trafford for a brief, ill-starred spell at Anfield, has been concerned that United might block such an emotive transfer.

However, The Sun reports that Heinze has been told by United chiefs that he can join any club he wishes - as long as they come up with the required fee.

Ferguson has already spent £50 million on new talent this summer, and plans to splash out almost half as much again to bring Heinze's compatriot Carlos Tevez to Old Trafford.

The manager will be expected to recoup some of that outlay, and selling Heinze would help, after Kieran Richardson's move to Sunderland yesterday brought some £5.5 million back into the Old Trafford coffers.

Juve use Chiellini to land Man Utd's Heinze

Juve use Chiellini to land Man Utd's Heinze
tribalfooball.com - August 01, 2007

Manchester United may trump Manchester City for Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini. After Juve president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli admitted last night that they had rejected a bid from City for the Italy U21 captain, it's emerged Chiellini could be used in talks with United over Gaby Heinze.
Corriere dello Sport says United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is a big fan of Chiellini's and would consider a swap involving the youngster for Argentina international Heinze. Another Juve prospect who could thrown into the mix is Italy U21 striker Raffaele Palladino, a long-term target for Ferguson.

Real Madrid contact Porto star Lucho Gonzalez

Real Madrid contact Porto star Lucho Gonzalez
tribalfooball.com - August 02, 2007

Real Madrid have made contact with Porto for midfielder Lucho Gonzalez. Real sports director Pedja Mijatovic made the approach yesterday after seeing negotiations stall over deals for Chelsea winger Arjen Robben and Feyenoord's Royston Drenthe.
Argentina international Gonzalez has emerged as Mijatovic's top alternative and the Real chief will meet with the midfielder's agent in Madrid today, says Marca.

Porto's Lucho welcomes Real Madrid interest
tribalfooball.com - August 03, 2007

Porto midfielder Lucho Gonzalez has welcomed interest from Real Madrid. The Argentina international said: "I don't know anything about it.
"But for anyone, it would appeal that a club like Real Madrid are interested in you. For now, however, I am calm and focused on Porto."
