Portsmouth midfielder Niko Kranjcar has played down being on the opposing team to Aston Villa keeper Scott Carson, whose mistake allowed Kranjcar's shot in as England lost 3-2 to Croatia and did not qualify for Euro 2008.

"I didn't embarrass him," said Kranjcar. "I can always shoot from 25 yards and don't need his help.

"But I don't think he will focus on me. He is an international keeper and he will go on and put that behind him."
