Souness: No longer considered

Graeme Souness has pulled out of the running to become the next Bolton Wanderers manager.
Following the departure of his former Liverpool team-mate Sammy Lee last week, Souness was mooted as a contender to take over at The Reebok Stadium.
However, Souness has told Sky Sports News that he is no longer a candidate to assume control of the Premier League's bottom club.
The former Liverpool and Blackburn boss has contacted Bolton chairman Phil Gartside to say he 'no longer wishes to be considered' for the job.

Committed

Meanwhile, Real Sociedad have confirmed their intention to hang on to Chris Coleman, who has also been linked with the vacancy.
Sociedad have already rejected an approach from The Trotters, with the Spanish side expecting Coleman to fulfil his contract.
Sporting director Salva Iriarte told the club's official website: "It is very clear. He has a three-year contract with us and he is the coach who we are placing our confidence in for that period.
"He's happy here, committed to the project and keen to carry on.
"I've no doubt that he will be our coach for the next three years."

Leicester reject second Bolton approach for Megson

Leicester City have turned down a second approach from Bolton to speak to Gary Megson about the vacant managerial position at The Reebok Stadium.

The Trotters made their first approach to talk with Megson just last week, but were flatly denied permission.

A variety of names have been linked with the managerial vacancy since Sammy Lee's departure.

Megson only took over at Leicester last month, and chairman Milan Mandaric is determined to keep hold of the former Nottingham Forest boss at The Walkers Stadium.

Bolton chairman eager to find new manager

Bolton Wanderers chairman Phil Gartside is keen to secure a new manager as soon as possible.

Caretaker boss Archie Knox will certainly be in charge for Thursday's UEFA Cup tie with Braga - and even Gartside acknowledges it is far from an ideal situation, with the Trotters currently anchored in the relegation zone following their defeat at Arsenal last weekend.

However, Gartside is also aware that he must find the right man this time around to safeguard the progress made under Sammy Lee's predecessor Sam Allardyce.

"We hope to be in a position to conclude the process as soon as possible, but we will take our time to make sure we make the right appointment to take us forward," he said.

"It is a complex job to find the ideal candidate to take the club forward in the long term - but it is a process we are working tirelessly to resolve."

Gartside admits Bolton must start winning

Bolton Wanderers chairman Phil Gartside admits the team needs to begin winning in the league.

"We are well aware we are in a difficult position in the league at present," said Gartside.

"We believe we have a talented squad of players, who can help us achieve our immediate objective of being a successful Premier League side.

"We all believe that the squad possesses the right blend of experience and skill to get us through our current situation."

FORCAAA BRAGAAAA!! What a great result for them away from home! I know Bolton sucks this year but that's a huge result for them! Hopefully we'll see them go on another European adventure.

Damn this isn't a great result we should have won. They are playing with no coach. When Munchen comes in and kills them with a coach it will be bad.
