Nolan urges Bolton fans to stick with them

Bolton Wanderers captain Kevin Nolan has urged fans not to turn away from the team despite the bad start to the season.

"If they can stay with us and with the new management team, I am sure it won't be long before we move up that table," he said.

Bayern Munich impressed by Bolton's Nolan

Bayern Munich are considering a shock move for Bolton Wanderers midfielder Kevin Nolan.

After the Bolton captain's impressive performance against Bayern last week, the Bundesliga giants will have chief scout Paul Breitner follow the midfielder regularly this season.

Bolton's Nolan happy with admiration of Man Utd boss Ferguson

Bolton Wanderers captain Kevin Nolan admits he revels in the admiration coming from Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

Ferguson once said he would love to sign the Scouser - if only to stop him scoring against his team.

In 2001 Nolan, 25, found the net as Bolton won 2-1 at Old Trafford. And he repeated the trick with the winner in 2002.

He said: "I try to give my best every week but I've been fortunate to get chances against United - and I've taken them.

"It's great to be named as a player that Sir Alex is looking at but I've always been dedicated to Bolton."

Bolton's Nolan: Man Utd could dominate for years

Bolton Wanderers captain Kevin Nolan believes Sir Alex Ferguson's young Manchester United squad can dominate the Premiership for years.

"They are fantastic," Nolan said in tribute to Wanderers' derby rivals.

"They are great to watch. They are like Arsenal in the way they play football but they can mix it as well.

"I think Manchester United have the edge and, with the players - the young lads - they have that little bit more about them. When it does get tough, they will get in there.

"They've got the quality and the potential and they've spent millions and millions to make sure that, when you are at your best, they can still handle you.

"Alex Ferguson has established a side that will dominate English football for some years to come."

Kevin Nolan and Nicky Hunt are banned, and Liverpool loanee Danny Guthrie cannot play but Gavin McCann should be ok despite a head wound against Aris.
