After supporting Leeds for a good few years now I've been to the likes of Old Trafford, Anfield, Stamford Bridge and other top English football grounds.
But ever since Leeds got relegated in 2004 I've had the pleasure of traveling to newer, more traditional football grounds, Carlisle, Tranmere, Cardiff etc and it seems in the lower leagues, the fans are more passionate on a whole compared to the clubs of the high flying Chelsea, Man United, Arsenal and co..
Now I'm not saying they're not passionate, as I know there are a small percentage of fans who are very passionate but on the whole not many people are, as I describe them, they're the ideal Sky Sports fan, ideal club fan, if that makes sense..
Anyway, my point is, this season, traveling to the likes of Carlisle, Tranmere, Brighton, Cheltenham, and pretty much every ground the fans really do make more noise and are more passionate as a percentage on the whole, this is REAL football at the moment, and being totally honest, for the first time in years, Leeds United feels like OUR club. I'm loving it even more than the Champions League days...
