Fernandes Michel Bastos fired the visitors into a shock 17th-minute lead but Sidney Govou levelled things up for Lyon just shy of the hour mark. Alain Perrin's Lyon is now fourth in the standings on 16 points, three behind leaders Nancy, while Lille, after its seventh draw in nine outings, is 14th. Paris St Germain's miserable home form continued as Bordeaux became the latest team to enjoy a trip to the Parc des Princes. PSG has endured a mixed campaign so far. It is unbeaten on the road but has not won in the French capital, drawing three and losing two of five home games. |

LYON skipper Juninho insists the French side won't get caught short by Champions League rivals Rangers next week - despite admitting he hid in a toilet during abust-up with coach Alain Perrin. Under-fire Perrin carpeted the Brazilian playmaker for walking out of a video re-run of Lyon's 3-0 Group E defeat by Barcelona. But Juninho said: "There is no problem between me and the coach. I wasn't in the frame of mind to watch all the game so I asked to go to the toilet and didn't return. "Our team is in a transitional period but we're progressing. We've got to anticipate Rangers preventing us from playing in the same way Scotland stopped France." |

Alain Cayzac, PSG supremo, remains confident of improvement at the Parc des Princes, although he admitted that he is feeling the pressure of persistent home defeats. "I slept badly on Sunday evening," he said, following his side's 2-0 collapse against Bordeaux. Nonteheless, he feels that improvement is inevitable under coach Paul le Guen and his squad. "Our home defeats... are for tactical and technical reasons," he insisted. "That's Paul's job to fix it - I will not interfere," he added, insisting that the club has more "maturity" than to accept or demand a resignation from the embattled coach. Indeed, Cayzac reiterated his support for the manager, saying, "Le Guen is not a man without pedigree. He has titles, history - I rely on him." Nonetheless, he made it clear that improvement is not only probable, but a must. "We will do better than last year," he stated. "After we assure survival, we will rebuild. I hope that our foundations are laid soon." __________________ |

The Brazil international has not played for OL since a game at Parc des Princes against Paris Saint Germain on May 5. Fred suffered an ankle injury in the Ligue 1 clash, and was also injured during Copa America. The 23-year-old, who scored 25 goals in two seasons with Les Gones, refused to return to France in the summer and was declared AWOL by chairman Jean-Michel Aulas. After having failed to obtain a contract extension and a pay rise, the former Cruzeiro star hinted at an eventual departure. However, Fred is now rehabilitating and could return to action in October. Meanwhile, goalkeeper Gregory Coupet could be back for the Champions League clash with Rangers on December 12 and centre back Cris is hopeful he will return next February. |
