Fulham's Stefanovic impressed by Ashton, Omozusi

Fulham's experienced defender Dejan Stefanovic says he's happy to offer a guiding hand to rookie defensive duo Nathan Ashton and Elliot Omosuzi.

He told fulhamfc.com: "Elliot and Nathan are two young guys who will do well in the future, but at the moment they are still young and need to learn a lot, so it's important to communicate with them on the field. But they have a big future for Fulham. They both played well - Elliot at right-back in the two games, and Nathan at left-back against Reading.

"It's breakthrough time for them. It's difficult for young players to get into the team and keep their place because in the Premier League every team has good players, so for them it's a big challenge, and I hope they're going to come through step-by-step. I remember myself as a young kid when I played for Red Star and when I moved to Sheffield. I always listened to advice from the senior players and it's always helpful, so I talk to them at the training ground also."
