Everton boss David Moyes:
"To keep qualifying for European competitions we have to do that through our league position.

"It will be as hard to get into the top 10 this year as maybe it has to get into the top four in the past.

"Blackburn, Aston Villa, Manchester City, Portsmouth and West Ham are doing well so it will be really tough."

Fulham captain Aaron Hughes:
"Everton are one of those teams, a bit like Blackburn, who have really come on strong in the last couple of seasons.

"If you want to get anything from them then you have to work hard for it.

"As the away team you have to be prepared for what is going to be thrown at you but you have to also go with mentality that you can win it."

Everton marked David Moyes' 250th game in charge with victory over Zenit St Petersburg to win their group in the Uefa Cup. Now they're chasing a 200th Premier League victory.

Fulham have made their worst ever start to a Premier League season with just two wins and 13 points from 15 games.

The Toffees are vying for a third straight home league win after a 3-1 victory over Birmingham and 7-1 thrashing of Sunderland; the Cottagers' three points from their Premier League travels have come from draws at Wigan, Chelsea and Sunderland.

All 12 Premier League fixtures between Everton and Fulham have been won by the club playing at home.

Lowest could fall: 15th

1. Won one of 12 in all competitions, and one point from a last possible nine.
2. Won three of 20 league matches under Lawrie Sanchez, and four of 32 in 2007. The 3-1 home victory over Reading on 3 November is their only maximum in 13.
3. Failed to score in five of the last eight league outings, and kept one clean sheet in seven.
4. The current tally of 13 points after 15 matches is their lowest ever to this stage of a Premier League campaign.
5. Conceded 79% of their league goals in the second half; 19 of 24.
6. Cannot close out games. Lost the lead eight times in league matches this season and beaten in three games in which they held the lead; against Arsenal (a), Middlesbrough (h) and Aston Villa (a). Dropped 17 Premier League points from winning positions. Only Spurs have an inferior record, having squandered 19 points in similar fashion.
7. Yet to beat a top-half club. Drawn three and lost five of their seven fixtures against clubs currently in the top 10.
8. The Premier League's draw specialists; seven of 15.
9. One of seven clubs still without an away win in the Premier League. On the longest current streak of 24 matches without an away victory, picking up 11 points from a possible 72 since the 1-2 defeat of Newcastle at St James' Park on 9 September last year. They have won two of the last 45 league games away from Craven Cottage.
10. This is the second of back-to-back league fixtures in the north-west; following Monday's 2-0 loss at Manchester United. After this come pre-Christmas home clashes with Newcastle and Wigan.

HEAD TO HEAD

Everton are defending a 100% home Premier League record against Fulham, and have not dropped a point in 14 top-flight games against the Cottagers at Goodison Park, since being held to a goalless draw on 5 September 1959.

Fulham have not managed to score more than a single goal in Premier League matches at Goodison. They have lost two by a 3-1 margin and last season's by four goals to one.

Home and away
League (inc PL): Everton 18 wins, Fulham 12, Draws 8
Prem: Everton 6 wins, Fulham 6, Draws 0

at Everton only
League (inc PL): Everton 15 wins, Fulham 0, Draws 4
Prem: Everton 6 wins, Fulham 0, Draws 0
