Rooney is better because he is the younger out of the two and has a lot more ability in my opinion than Henry.

Henry:
Skills = High
Scoring = medium
Speed = High
Body Strength = Medium

Overall i think they are pretty even, but since im a Man Fan im going to have to go with Rooney

Rooney is a fantastic player, his pace, strength and ability to strike the ball BUT thierry henry has the brains, he is untouchable and still he scores goals the way he does, he analysis the defense's moves and he can naturally put the ball in the back of the net through his instinct.

Look at it this way.....People don't call someone King for no reason.
I never heard anyone say "King Rooney".

But then again, since 'King Henry' started playing for Barca, he has become more like 'Prince Henry'.

Henry at Arsenal = King of English Football
Henry at Barca = good striker

Wayne Rooney any club = good striker, but no skills

he isnt one of my favourite player but he does have skills and can do more these days.
henry is losing pace, which was his main strength.
rooney is only getting better, and is a very good player

Comparing Henry to Rooney is like comparing Shaquille O'Neal to Kobe Bryant, yea they are both great players, but there playing styles are completely differant. Henry is more of a finesse player, when Rooney is simply speed and sheaar power. Rooney is younger and a bit faster, but Henry has more experience in International play. I mean c'mon Rooney is a hot head, we all saw how his temper is with that little crotch stomping incident. If I were making a "Dream Team," so to speak, I would choose Henry over Rooney simply because Henry is older, but with age comes wisdom and I would have that over young and angry any day.

when henry was in his prime, a couple of years ago, he was the best player in the world. now hes nothing. so rooney is better, but henry is older too

Thierry Henry has incredible speed. He got some long legs and when someone passes him the ball at the right time at the right place he is going to make that run and there is nothing stopping him. And he obviously can kick that ball pretty hard too.

What is he right now? 31 or smth like that? He is at the end of his career.

Rooney is only 23 so go figure. No point comparing them right now.

Henry was better 10 years ago than Rooney is now but Rooney has a long way to go and may someday be a legend too. So even though I think Rooney is better now I think Henry was better in his prime.

Rooney, my friends!!! If you're asking the question as of TODAY, then Rooney is by far better. If you are asking who is/was better in their prime, Henry has historically been much more impressive...he's an old-timer now, though.
