An era is coming to an end. Park Stadium, where FC Schalke 04 played their home matches from 1973 to 2001, is set to be completely dismantled. Demolition in January The construction firm Hellmich is contracted to begin work at the beginning of January. The main demolition work will occur between the 6th and 12th of January, when Schalke's professional players are in training camp. The estimated time to complete all of the work is six to eight weeks. New training facilities Training facilities and a stadium for the second and youth teams are to be built on the grounds of Park Stadium. FC Schalke 04 are also seeking to incorporate the two remaining flood light masts from their former stadium into the new plans and to designate them as landmarks. | ||
