Explain

Someone explain to me when we are a big club (liverpool) and are said to have absolutely no money to go after someone like David Villa, but yet a team like Man City can go after Ronaldhino?! Is it just me or does something not seem right and we(liverpool) are just trying to be low key this transfer season?!
