I'm not sure yet. Either 1-0 Middlesbrough or a 1-1 Draw.

Birmingham skipper Liam Ridgewell is available after serving a one-match ban and look set to replace Radhi Jaidi.

Manager Alex McLeish is expected to recall striker Mikael Forssell to play alongside Cameron Jerome in attack.

Middlesbrough defender Jonathan Woodgate is a concern after being substituted in three of the last four games because of cramp.

Fabio Rochemback is available after serving a one-match ban but Gary O'Neil is a doubt with a hamstring injury.

Birmingham manager Alex McLeish:
"I knew it was a tough job when I took it on, a massive challenge.

"I don't have a magic wand. If we keep making the errors then it's going to cost players their places.

"We've got a team that can bounce back, but we will be trying to look to do something in January to add some quality to the squad."

Middlesbrough manager Gareth Southgate on the defeat to West Ham:
"We've taken a kick in the nuts, but we've got to get it out of our system.

"There's nothing we can do about it now. We're bitterly disappointed but there's nothing we can do about it now. We just have to get back on track.

"They did a job on us - a classic away smash and grab."

BIG-MATCH FACTS

Birmingham and Middlesbrough sit side by side in lower mid table, both chasing their fifth win of the league campaign and knowing that defeat could see either in the relegation zone.

Birmingham have a 50 winning record on Boxing Day in the Premier League; won two of four.

Middlesbrough have not picked up three points on Boxing Day, since defeating Manchester United 3-1 at the Riverside in 2002.

Middlesbrough did the double over Birmingham when they were last in the Premier League together in 2005-06, and the Teessiders could repeat the feat this time, having won the reverse fixture 2-0 at the Riverside in September in 'Boro's 1,500th league win.

HEAD TO HEAD

Birmingham lost their 100 home Premier League record against Middlesbrough, when heavily beaten in this corresponding fixture in the season before last. It was the only time the club away from home had won in a Premier League fixture between these two.

There was never been a draw between these clubs in nine previous Premier League meetings.

Gareth Southgate's last goal for Middlesbrough came against Birmingham, in a 5-3 victory on Teesside on 20 March 2004.

Middlesbrough manager Gareth Southgate has a concern over England defender Jonathan Woodgate ahead of the Boxing Day trip to Birmingham City.

The 27-year-old has had to be substituted in three of the last four games because of cramp, and the club's medics are currently trying to get to the bottom of the problem.

Fabio Rochemback is available after serving a one-match ban at the weekend, but Gary O'Neil (hamstring) is struggling once again while Andrew Taylor (foot), Chris Riggott (calf) and Mido (groin) are still out.

Five Bookings

Birmingham are boosted by the return of captain Liam Ridgewell for the match.

The former Aston Villa defender, who looks set to replace Radhi Jaidi, missed Saturday's trip to Bolton Wanderers as he was serving a one-match ban after collecting five bookings.

Manager Alex McLeish is also poised to recall striker Mikael Forssell to play alongside Cameron Jerome in attack.

Manager Alex McLeish has vowed to make changes for the clash after being disappointed by mistakes made in the defeat to Bolton. Skipper Liam Ridgewell is available after serving a one-match ban, while striker Mikael Forssell could be recalled to play alongside Cameron Jerome in attack. Fabio Rochemback is available for Middlesbrough after serving a one-match ban but Gary O'Neil (hamstring) is again a doubt.
