This french/Algerian tank is known for his amazing ability to control the ball well under pressure , has great scoring skills and is one of the new rising stars at Lyon after the let go of Carew , He recieved offers from various clubs but I would love for him to stay at Lyon and make a name for himself there , He also has the physical attributes of any star striker , or in other words he is a target man , He loves to get one-on-one challenges with goalies , he also can basically shoot from anywhere , this French striker shined with Lyon this season after the leaving of Carew and the injury of Fred , he is the french league top scorer and Lyon will surely not let go of him easily.

Unfortunately Karim Benzema couldn't convert one of his 3 goal opportunities in the France-Italy Euro 2008 game. Why Domenech left him on the bench for the 2nd group match, and put Gomis is something I don't get yet.

Benzema is a great striker but hes still yet to play at the top level of football.
I mean he did not have a great euro 2008. and the french league is not the best league in the world maybe he should try playing in the premier league or spanish league. then we can truely see wat hes like!!!!
