Fábio Coentrão to be loaned out
Fábio Coentrão is assumed to be loaned to Nacional da Madeira when the winter transfer window opens in January. The 19 year old has only played 103 minutes in the Liga this season and is considered a surplus at the moment. This move could gain the player more experience and competitive rhythm.
José Camacho has made it previously known that he would like to work with a shorter squad, and Rui Alves, president of the Funchal club, assisted the Benfica x AC Milan match on 28th November alongside L.F. Vieira to get the player in a six month deal.
The left-winger was acquired by Benfica from Rio Ave due to Fernando Santos' interest. Coentrão was a sensation in the Liga da Honra in the previous season and also played in the u-20 World Cup with Portugal.
Romeu Ribeiro, Miguel Vítor and Yu Dabao are also set to be loaned out, and all to Desportivo das Aves in the division below. Marc Zoro and Andrés Diáz are also to be considered to move either permanently or temporarily in January.
