Ian Porterfield, was remembered just before Sunderland beat Reading 2-1 in the reverse fixture on 15 September. The Mackems' 1973 FA Cup hero passed away earlier in that week. Reading were one of the clubs the Wearsiders beat on their way to that memorable Wembley success.
