It is anticipated only Rio Ferdinand, who has links in the Caribbean, and Wayne Bridge, who did not play in Moscow last week, will make the 10-hour journey, with the rest beginning their summer break one game early. England will therefore look very different to the side which dispatched the USA comfortably enough at Wembley on Wednesday night as John Terry and Steven Gerrard grabbed the goals in a 2-0 win. But, after probably the most polished performance of his three games in charge so far, Capello wants to see more of the same. “I saw a lot of things that we were trying to do,” the Italian said. “There was a lot of movement. When we had a chance to play a long ball we did. When it was possible to pass the ball we did that too. “I liked the way we pressed the ball. We did it quickly. We did not waste a lot of time winning the ball back. We need to score more goals, but we won and that was very important.” Once the Trinidad encounter is out of the way, Capello can then work out his strategy for the World Cup qualifiers, which begin against Andorra in September. Before that, England tackles the Czech Republic in a friendly on August 20, when Capello will introduce his permanent captain. Ferdinand was believed to have moved into pole position but Terry’s excellent goal-scoring contribution - just seven days after his personal penalty shootout nightmare against Manchester United - may make the 61-year-old rethink his plans. “It was important for John Terry to score,” Capello said. “He can go on his holiday happy now. The point is he is a leader both for Chelsea and also the national team. “The captaincy will not be an easy decision and even in my own mind I do not know what the decision will be. But I will make my mind up and when I decide I will talk with the players.” | Capello to tinker with England's roster - World Soccer - Yahoo!
